A few months ago, I asked my friends on Facebook about how to detox my armpits. People thought I was kidding, but I wasn’t. I really was looking for something to “clear out” my sweat glands.
Well, my wish was granted- in my Instagram messenger no less. A lovely woman by the name of Billie Jo who owns an Etsy shop named, Little Ann's Soap asked me if I would try a bar of her handmade soap and write a review!
Well, duh! I am a sucker for soap, so I jumped at the chance. We exchanged information and so I waited for my package to arrive. Now, mind you at this point I didn’t look up her site. I wanted to be surprised.
When my soap arrived, ironically, she sent me a bar of her DETOX soap. I have to admit, when I opened it, I was not prepared for the color. It was gray and almost reminded me of coal, but it had these cool grooves in it. I smelled it and it was delightful. I flipped over the bar and was pleasantly surprised about the ingredients. Nothing but the purest ingredients. I mean ANYTHING that starts with coconut oil, HAS MY ATTENTION. Then, goat's milk. Like, REAL GOAT'S MILK. (There's a story behind that and it will be discussed in the bio below.)
I thought to myself, well let me get to slathering. I opened up the bar and it smelled like a mix of tea tree oil and coconut oil. Initially, I washed my hands to see if it would leave any residue or dry my hands out. It did not.
Fast forward and I have been using the soap for about a month now. I have to tell you, since using the soap, I do not sweat as much. The "traces” of deodorant that was normally left when I used my other soap became non-existent. I decided to try it on my face and unlike the other times where I broke out from using anything with tea tree oil in it, I didn't break out. Let me tell you, this is HUGE because I have SUPER sensitive skin.
You can use this bar from face to toe because it pulls all the impurities out of your skin. Tea tree oil is known to kill a variety of viruses and bacteria too. It is an antiseptic and helps to heal wounds. Each batch of soap is handcrafted in small batches. They use the cold process method and allow each batch to cure for a minimum of four weeks before it's available for sale.
Billie Jo told me I could use it on my daughter's dry patches, which I do believe is eczema. I used it on her and the area has gotten smaller and softer. However, due to the PG-13 nature of where the dry patch is, I will not be posting a picture. Besides, if I did, everything on the Internet lives forever and it would be MY LUCK, by the time Lenny was 12 someone would have found the picture and plastered it all over her school. I will embarrass her enough. She won't need any further help. I digressed.
So, for those of you looking for a "DETOX" product you don't have to ingest, I highly recommend Little Ann's Detox Soap. You can buy it here along with HOMEMADE soap bombs, bath salts, and other fine soaps. And because I am is SO highly "connected" you can use my code BRINN10 and get 10% off. YOU ARE WELCOME.
Let me know how you like it!
About Little Ann Soap
My name is Billie Jo.I am a wife and a mom to 3 kids- a daughter 9 and two sons 8 and 6. I live in Washington state. We started our small farm of Nigerian Dwarf goats in 2014 on our farm called Big Rock Farm. We love our animals and treat them like they are a part of our family. I started making goat milk soap when my daughter was diagnosed with psoriasis in 2016. We have been able to keep her flare-ups to a minimum and far between with our soap. From there, I started to dabble with other bath products and that's when Little Ann Soap was born.
