We all have bad days. Some of us even have a bad year. But it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to remain positive.
And what I mean by that is we need to always guard our positive energy. This can be very difficult. Especially in a world of what seems like an endless number of “Debbie Downers” all around us.
Often, I find myself fighting to keep my positive vibe. F I G H T I N G!
People are often skeptical of my overall happy demeanor. It is not an act. It is who I am. I have been through some difficult times in my life, we all have, yet I am still here and that is something to be happy about.
I try to focus my energy on the good part of life. Do I fail? Absolutely.
All the time in fact, but what I've learned is I have survived 100% of all my worse days.
Think about it. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT.
If that doesn't make you feel optimistic, I don't know what will.
I was watching the Today Show a few years ago and a woman came on to talk about her book called "10/10/10 Rule". The premise of the book is help people make difficult decisions by looking at it through three different timeframes.
I have adjusted it to help me vet my feelings and guard my energy. I’ve learned to think about how my current situation will affect me in moments of 10- in 10 minutes, 10 hours, 10 days, 10 months, and 10 years.
By the time I get to thinking about how this current moment will affect my life in 10 hours, I have gotten myself together.
Don’t let anyone take your energy. Let me repeat that. Don’t let anyone take your energy. Ever.
When you find yourself facing what feels like an impossible situation, try to remember the following seven things to get you through.

No matter what situation you are facing choose a positive response.
If you have to walk away from negative or toxic people in order to keep your peace and guard your energy, then do so.
This too shall pass and soon. So breath in and breath out.
The stories we tell ourselves become our reality. Make sure they are positive ones.
Slow down. Sometimes in our haste to get things done, we become undone.
Add positivity to someone else's life. Sprinkle it EVERYWHERE.
Tune your mind to think positive thoughts. It will take a little practice, but over time like anything, it will become a habit then a lifestyle.
Now go look for the rainbow because it's gonna be a bright, sunshiny day! 🌞
